SEARCH FOR SOMEONE
There are two places start a search through all the pages of the site. One is a magnifying glass icon at the right end of the menu bar, just below the orange header banner. The other is in the black area at the very bottom of every page. Click on the magnifying glass icon in the menu bar or at the bottom of the page click to place the cursor in the search field. Type in just the last name you are looking for. The results will be the page header(s) for any page(s) the name was found on. The start of the page text will display with “Continue reading” in red at the end. Click on the red words and the complete text for that page will display.
On a long page of names, you can get directly to the name you are looking for by clicking the horizontal three dots on the top right corner of the browser page and selecting the Find function.
HOW TO GET BACK TO THIS SITE
The best way to get back is to create a Bookmark on your computer internet browser. Some cell phone browsers (Google Search) don’t have this feature. If you have to find the site by typing in the name, you should have — wchsclassof1964.com — written down somewhere. This is a long and easy to goof up name. There are no capitals or spaces and the year must be all four digits. The usual forgiving nature of a Google search is no help in this case. There are MANY very similar sites that contain “WCHS class” in them!
HOW TO QUICKLY TELL IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES SINCE YOUR LAST VISIT
If you make note of the date each time you visit this site, you can compare that to the “Last update to this site…” on the Welcome page. If there is a more recent date on the site, you will find explanations and pointers to anything new detailed on the Changes & Updates page.
HOW TO ZOOM IN WHEN VIEWING A PICTURE
On a monitor without touchscreen capability, clicking once or twice within a picture will cause the display to zoom in to one or two levels of magnification. On a touchscreen such as a cell phone, simply use the two fingertips spread motion to magnify the view. Your view can be dragged around to see different areas of the picture.
